Warranty

Who gets our warranty. Cars under 10 years old with a sale price of £2,000 or more come with our warranty. Cars that are 10 years old or more, or priced under £2,000, are sold without our warranty. Your statutory rights still apply to every car we sell (see below). Excessive mileage or use of the car for private hire will invalidate the warranty.
Cover. The warranty issued by Radlett Cars (RC) lasts 3 months or 2,000 miles from the date you receive the car, whichever comes first. The claim limit is £500 in total, including parts and labour, excluding VAT. If a warranty repair costs more than the claim limit, you pay 50% of the amount above the limit.
Repairs. All warranty work is done by RC at our premises in Radlett, unless we agree otherwise in writing. You must bring the car to us at your cost. We will not start any work until we have told you what, if anything, you will need to pay. Work done by another garage without our written agreement is not covered.
Diagnosis. You pay for diagnosis and fault-finding on a warranty claim. We will tell you the cost before we start. This does not apply where the fault is one we are responsible for under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

This warranty is provided by Radlett Cars, a trading name of Easywaytosellmycar Ltd, Ivorys Industrial Estate, Harper Lane, Radlett, Hertfordshire WD7 7HU. It is valid in the UK. It is in addition to your statutory rights and does not affect them.
Your statutory rights
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are separate from our warranty. They apply to every car we sell to a consumer, including cars sold without our warranty.
Every car must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. What counts as satisfactory quality depends on the car's age, mileage, price and description. An older or higher-mileage car is not expected to be in the same condition as a newer one, and normal wear and tear is not a fault.
Your statutory rights do not cover faults we told you about before you bought the car or, if you inspected the car before buying, faults that inspection ought to have shown. They do not cover damage caused after you received the car, for example by an accident, misuse or lack of maintenance.
If you think your car has a fault, contact us first. We may ask to inspect the car before we agree what to do. You have 30 days from delivery to reject a faulty car for a refund. After 30 days, we can repair or replace the car. If that does not put the fault right, you may be entitled to a refund, less a deduction for your use of the car.
If you collected the car from our premises, you are responsible for bringing it back to us for any claim.
Distance and doorstep sales: your right to cancel
This applies if you agreed to buy the car without visiting our premises (for example by phone, online, by email or by message), or at your home or any other place that is not our premises. It does not apply if you agreed the purchase at our premises.
You can cancel within 14 days of the day you receive the car, without giving a reason. To cancel, tell us clearly before the 14 days end, for example by email to radlettcars@gmail.com or by letter to the address above.
You must return the car to us within 14 days of telling us that you are cancelling. You will have to pay the cost of returning the car. You can drive it back to us yourself. If you use a transporter, we estimate the cost at about £1.50 per mile from your address to Radlett. If we delivered the car to your home and you agreed the sale there, we will collect it at our cost.
We will refund the price you paid, including any deposit and our standard delivery charge, within 14 days of getting the car back (or within 14 days of you telling us, if we collect it). We refund using the same payment method you used, unless we agree otherwise. We may deduct for any loss in value caused by use of the car beyond what is needed to check it, as you could on a test drive (for example extra miles or damage).
An offer of goodwill can also be made by Radlett Cars, which will not affect your statutory rights.
